Sure I Had A Normal Childhood
Last week one of my cousins and his wife passed through OKC on their way to his post with the Coast Guard in South Carolina. Brad and I took them to dinner and we had such a good time catching up I decided to dedicate an entire blog to all my cousins.
Disclaimer: The following incidents have passed the statuary time frame for parental punishment therefore parental punishment is hereby null and void. Plus we are all of age now. What can you do.
Here's to sitting on Monopoly money so that no one would know how much money you had.
Here's to shutting ourselves in Grandma and Grandpa's room and throwing all the Monopoly money into the ceiling fan while it was running. (makes you wonder if Grandma finds money every now and then)
Here's to losing all the pink & blue pegs in the LIFE game and having to substitute them with toothpicks. (makes it hard to tell the boys and girls apart)
Here's to Brad who shot my brother Steve in the foot with a BB gun and lodged a BB in his toe.
Here's to being grounded from the garden tractor for driving too fast or dumping the younger cousins out of the trailer. (this mainly applies to Cindy and Tammy)
Here's to Snip hunting in the pasture. Those pesky little creatures.
Here's to all of us who accepted the dare of riding our bikes over the cattle guards without getting injured.
Here's to my mom finding that spoon in the chicken yard and trying to tell us it was OK to use because she had run it through the dishwasher. (if you ever visit my house stay away from the Nestle Quick Rabbit Spoon)
Here's to being sent out to gather eggs in the chicken house and finding a possum in the coop instead.
Here's to nap time at Grandma's always conveniently being during Days of our Live. (Just how many times did Roman die?)
Here's to being used by our parents for cheap manual labor. (I can't wait to make my kids chop stickers in the pasture)
Finally....Here's to cousin UNO. You guys are all cheaters!

Don't forget sliding down the old combine's bin and coming out the shoot. MAN - how did we ever fit through that thing??? We were a bunch of skinny little punks back then...
OR playing hide and seek in the hay shed - OUCH! I think I still have a scar from that...
I had so many more but it would have been a few weeks worth of posts. Another one that came to mind was the slip n' slide. How on earth did we not break something.
