Isaac Update-I Can't Help It. He's Too Cute
Here is an update on Isaac since I haven't given you all one in a while. He has 3 big chemo treatments left after last Friday's treatment. Big chemo meaning an overnight stay in the hospital while they flush him with fluids and he has a blood transfusion. The plan right now if everything continues to go smoothly is that sometime in early March they should be done with chemo. Then he just waits a month and has MRI's and CT Scans and if those come back clear then he just goes on regular checks to make sure the cancer does not return.
For the most he feels good. He has his good days and his really bad days which is normal considering what his body has been subjected to. At least now he is able to tell us when something hurts or where he doesn't feel good. I have to tell this story because it is so sad but it will make you smile. Last Friday he was in the hospital and the chemos are starting to make him very sick to his stomach. Luckily it usually only last during the night. This last time they decided to give him some really high powered anti-nausea medicine. It knocked him out. He would only wake up to throw up, but he only did that a couple of times which is a huge improvement over the last time. So we are sitting there watching TV and Isaac starts stirring so Tammy gets the bucket and is prepared but he settled back down and so she moved the bucket and without even opening his eyes Isaac holds up his hand and says...."No! I need that." Then he sat up and threw up in the bucket. Sad but still makes you smile.
My sister goes back to work on Monday and Byron will be staying home with Isaac during the day. He was able to arrange all of his classes to be night classes. Unfortunately this will be added stress on top of everything else for a few months, but they are lucky that OC was willing to work with Bryon on his teaching schedule.
I cannot tell you all enough how much your thoughts and prayers have meant to me and my family. We know that none of this would be possible without our strong faith in the Lord. We continue to need your prayers daily but at least now we can see an end in sight and we are encouraged. I will keep you all updated on the progress and results of tests, etc...
Have a great weekend!
